ISIA Urbino
ISIA Urbino is a school of Graphic Design and Visual Communication boasting a strong identity, which can be defined, in short, in its workshop nature, in its link with local and territorial issues, and in the political dimension of the project, understood as a form of attention to its socio-economic implications.
The identity of the Institute is linked to the history of our country, of that healthy and productive part that has its roots in the post-World War II period.
ISIA is a place to learn practices of social commitment and cultural design. The Institute was founded as CSAG, Corso Superiore per Arte Grafica, in 1962. Albe Steiner structured the course, in an effervescent intellectual environment in which Carlo Bo, Rector of the University of Urbino, the philosopher Livio Sichirollo and the architect Giancarlo De Carlo, among others, participated.
For Steiner, the designer is an intellectual for whom cultural and technical aspects are essential and inextricably linked.
ISIA Urbino’s educational offer consists of a BA in Graphic Design and Visual Communication and three MAs, respectively in Publishing, Photography and Illustration.
The limited number of students for each class and compulsory attendance make the course a unique opportunity for training and exchange with teachers and class.
