Among the oldest in Italy, and almost unique to remain in its original location, the Fine Arts Academy of Bologna was founded in 1710 to stimulate local art industries. It includes until now, among its professors, great masters such as Antonio Basoli, Donato Creti, Giorgio Morandi and Virgilio Guidi. After the system reform of art training, the Fine Arts Academy of Bologna has rapidly expanded its training offer, both in the three-year first level Degree Courses and in the two-year second level specialized Degree Courses, by opening to disciplines which, on one hand, would follow the tradition and, on the other hand, would renew it, within the contemporary job market. Consequently, alongside the traditional range of subjects, concerning the visual and plastic arts (Painting, Sculpture, Decoration) and Scenography, new first and second level educational paths such as Restoration, Comics and Illustration, Graphic Design, Product Design, Fashion Design, Languages of Cinema and Audiovisual fields, Photography, Communication and Art education have been placed side by side. It is a foundamental process that sees our young artists to experiment with new languages and our Academy to perform a primary role of incubator for creative experimentation and learning experience.

These web pages are designed according to the concepts of "Sustainable Web Design," which is an approach to website architecture aimed at minimizing environmental impact and maximizing energy efficiency and reducing CO2 production. Recall that according to some estimates, a simple search can generate 1g to 10g of CO2, while simply browsing a website produces an average of 1.76g of CO2 per page viewed.
