The Academy of Fine Arts of Foggia was founded in 1970; it is located in the building of the former Bank of Italy where the following teaching courses are held: Painting, Sculpture, Decoration, Street Furniture Decoration, Scenography, Graphic Design, Fashion Design, New Technologies of Art, Cinema Photography and Audiovisual, Illustration and Comics, and Interior Design. The Academy of Fine Arts of Foggia tends to give its students a European-style education by including in its educational offerings teachings related to contemporary poetic and aesthetic issues. The Academy with the study of tradition strengthens the awareness of its origins and with the inclusion of experimental subjects and courses encourages research and development of new artistic languages. The Academy of Fine Arts of Foggia has been set in motion in the last five years towards a process of growth, the definition of a multifaceted educational offer adapted to the times, an important presence in the territory, the definition of projects and activities that embrace various sectors of artistic production, so that we can contribute to the generation of various job opportunities in the artistic and cultural sectors, so that Apulia can offer in the coming years ever increasing job opportunities to graduates of both our Academy and other Apulian Academies and, of course, also universities dedicated to literary, artistic and cultural education. The level of training of ABAFG students allows the inclusion of figures with an optimal level of preparation in various areas of the working world of Design and Interior Design, Street Furniture. Many projects and activities are carried out for the training of students.The courses of study for a First Level Academic Diploma of the School of Artistic Design for Business aim to ensure adequate mastery of artistic methods and techniques, as well as the acquisition of specific disciplinary and professional skills in order to provide learners with knowledge and design and expressive methodologies in the use of the tools of representation and artistic practices, with particular regard to communication, industrial design, design, fashion. The School’s courses aim to develop design skills and the practice of expressive technological tools, traditional and contemporary, concerning the use and management of space and the principles of communication and representation. Graduates in the School’s diploma courses must: - possess adequate technical-operational training, methods and content with regard to the Graphic fields of design, exhibition design, Product Design and Interior design; - possess methodological and critical tools adequate for the acquisition of skills of the expressive languages, techniques and the most advanced related technologies; - be able to effectively use at least one language of the European Union, in addition to the mother tongue, in the main field of competence and for the exchange of general information; - possess knowledge of computer tools and telematic communication in the specific fields of competence.
